iPhone with the Cabin charger

Magsafe-style charging skills arrive for your iPhone with the Cabin charger!
Cabin follows a long line of portable phone chargers, but this time you won’t need to carry an ugly plastic gadget around, nor cables to charge your iPhone on the go. Instead, Cabin packs in a Magsafe-style magnetic connector, just like Apple’s own MacBook range for quick connecting, and it simply clips onto the back of your iPhone. It looks fantastic, and it promises to give your phone extra juice when you need it most. Read on for all the details!
If you’re constantly pushing your iPhone 5s to the limit, you’ll surely notice the battery will quickly start to drop. A portable battery charger can be a life-saver, but it’s also another bit of kit to carry around – even if it’s incredibly thin like the Monster Powercard. Cabin takes a different approach, as it’s a classy aluminium battery slice that attaches to the bottom and rear of your iPhone, and it looks more like a high-end case than a battery.
Look at the charger from the front: the only hint that there’s something different about your iPhone is a small strip of aluminium under the bottom section, which complements your iPhone too. The premium materials and unibody finish blend in perfectly with Apple’s design itself, and the curved rear also looks pretty good and should fit in your palm nicely.
It’s the way that Cabin attaches to your iPhone that really makes it stand out though, with the charger clipping onto your phone magnetically – just like Apple’s own magnetic chargers for the MacBook range. You can even turn your Lightening cable into a magnetic charger, thanks to the accompanying MagAdapter and MicroAdapter that slots into the Lighning port on your iPhone, and just like it’s inspiration, it’ll fall away if tugged and won’t take your phone with it.
If you want to get your hands on a Cabin charger for your iPhone, you can simply head over to the Kickstarter page and make a pledge of $99 (£59), plus $10 for international shipping – which is a great price, considering what you get. Pledge $145 (£87) plus $20 for international shipping, and you can the whole bundle, including a matching charging dock too, capable of charging up both the iPhone and Cabin simultaneously. Is this the ultimate accessory for your iPhone?
