Apple iPhone 6, OnePlus OneWatch, HTC One (M8) Windows, Galaxy Note 4

Apple iPhone 6, OnePlus OneWatch, HTC One (M8) Windows, Galaxy Note 4: Gadget Digest
The past five days have seen some massive gadget stories, from the launch date of the Apple iPhone 6 to a brand new Windows Phone HTC One (M8), proving the perfect week for smartphone fans. There’s also been loads of other top tech, too. Whatever your favourite gadget, grab yourself a cuppa, sit back and enjoy the week’s biggest stories in our gadget digest.
A crazy busy week for phablets!
The past couple of weeks have been pretty dry when it comes to phablets and phones, with manufacturers keeping their cards close to their chest. Things have changed this week, with a ton of handsets hitting the headlines. Handsets like the upcoming Apple iPhone 6, which now looks likely to launch on 9th September! A brand new iOS phablet? We can hardly wait!
Not to be outdone, Samsung also looks like it’ll be updating its feature-packed Note range, with the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on the way next month. The South Korean giant has been tight-lipped on what the features will include, but it’ll have to be good if Samsung wants to stay on top when it comes to phablets.
Chinese manufacturer Lenovo also fancies a bit of the action, with the stunning-looking Vibe Z2 Pro making an official appearance in Asia. The Quad HD metal phablet may not have made its way over to these shores yet, but fingers crossed it’ll pop up in the near future.
Lots of smartphone choice too!
If you fancy something a little smaller, and also want to avoid Android and iOS, HTC could have the perfect solution in the form of a new Windows Phone One (M8). Packing in all the same hardware and specs as the regular HTC One (M8), but running Microsoft’s tile-based operating system, it could topple Nokia to become the new king of Windows Phone!
If you’re on a tighter budget, the new Kogan Agora 4G could be the ideal smartphone for you, cramming 4G LTE, a 720p screen and Android 4.4 KitKat into an attractive handset that costs just £149. The best value smartphone yet? It could well be!
A fresh smartwatch invasion
There’s been a lot going on when it comes to smartwatches, too, with the OnePlus OneWatchset to offer a stylish alternative to the Moto 360. Just like the 360, the OneWatch eschews a square screen in favour of a more traditional spherical shape, and to our eyes it looks all the better for it.
While the majority of smartwatches out there need a smartphone to work alongside, theTimex Ironman One GPS+ does things a little differently, offering 3G connectivity that lets the watch connect with apps and broadcast your fitness stats to the world all without being anywhere near your smartphone!
And in other news…

There was good news for e-reader fans this week, with the budget Nook GlowLight coming to the UK for just £89. We also loved the idea of the Mimoto Smart Pen, which promises to turn any regular computer or laptop display into a giant tablet. If you really want something to kick your weekend off in style though, how about an alarm clock that can wake you up with coffee!
